Conklin Shows Alumni
I began my long jurney with Conklin when I was a teenager, and worked till my early 20's. My son Hakon, was conseved whille I was working with the show, and just like a natural showman, no fear of anything or any one happy and loves rides. my only reget is i cant travel any more, so my son is stable. my last year was also the last for Conklins big shows and that makes me sad. for all of you still out there have fun thats the main thing

I started working for Conklin in 96 on the Polar Express for Trevor. When I came back in 2003 after a "vacation" I worked for Billy Lauther on the snow ball and kiddyland. Last year from Springfield to Mobile I was the foreman of the Starship 3000.Thanks Billy and Conklin and I don't think I'm done yet.
even though it is north american midway i will always be a conklin girl 4 life....I LOVE CONKLIN SHOWS..WOOT WOOT..
I first started on the show after visiting a carnival in Hamilton. I have never had so much fun or worked so hard in my life! Something about this lifestyle gets in your blood. I had good times and bad...times I couldn't wait to leave...but I always was ready to hit the road come spring. Living and working at the carnival is like nothing else you can ever experience. We worked hard and partied harder!...some of us too much! Thanks for the memories...I will cherish most of them forever.

Tearing down the dragon wagon one night by myself I could hear Barry Jamieson yelling at Art and then went onto the next ride. As I carried track on to the platform he walked into the centre of the ground where everything was laid out. He was still yelling as I hopped over the wagon.I grabbed another piece of track, hustling my ass off I loaded it and hopped the buckets again. As I was grabbing another piece Barry says to me "slow down son this isn't a race"Having a bad enough week I kept at the same pace not wanting to "#&$@" him off.I tore the wagon down that night in 36 minutes.I enjoyed working there it was fantastic.
